Recording Details

The Strat is through a Nano Holy Grail Reverb and Artec Blues Overdrive into a Vox AC4TV, and by Stagg PGT-80 microphone and Alesis IO-2 into Magix Samplitude Music Studio. Mark tried to get the sound as he wanted it coming out of the amp so the only adjustments in the Music Studio are a slight touch of reverb and balancing sound levels.

Trevs 'Farm' Custom Licence Plate Guitar

Hand crafted hardwood body and Telecaster neck with Axesrus Totally Tappable single coil sized humbucker and Axesrus black hardwear. The finish and artwork is lightly reliced to give that 'old down on the farm' look, which marries nicely with the texture and theme of the authentic US Farm Vehicle Licence Plate top.

Built by Trev for Ken Mclean from the Hartlepool band 'Midlife Misfits'.

Watch Ken and the Guitar in action.

Trevs 'Ambulance' Custom Licence Plate Guitar

Hand crafted hardwood body and Telecaster neck with Axesrus Totally Tappable single coil sized humbucker and Axesrus chrome hardwear. The two tone 'painted fence' finish is lightly reliced to give that 'junkyard weathered' look which in conjunction with the authentic US Ambulance Licence Plate top and 'Route 66' artwork, creates a real high milage feel.

Built by Trev for Art Harriman of Durham band, 'The Source'.

James' Fat Strat

This guitar really looks the best of both worlds! All the charm and look of a strat, set up in a double humbucker config, with a blocked off trem for added stability, this really looks a guitar for all occassions.

Peters "Jacko II"

A hollow bodied PRS style guitar fitted with gold hard, finished in a beautiful Purple Flame top. The neck is inlayed with an abalone snake design.

A real work of Art.

Stephans "Axesrus Affinity"

A Squier Affinity, fitted with a matching set of "Axesrus Black Out Humbuckers" in a HB/SC/HB configuration.

A brilliant example of a work horse guitar built on a solid base to achieve top results.

Geoffs "Partsocaster"

A complete new build in the style of a USA stratocaster.

A beautiful example of what can be done when you let your imagination run wild.

Daves "Stratobanjo"

A 6 string Strat style guitar (we think!) with a Remo weatherking Banjo Skin in place of the bridge/middle single coils.

If it sounds half as good as it looks, then its been a successful build in our books.

Marks Custom Build

A wonderful example of wood working and luthier skills, with both the neck and body made from scratch. Fitted with a Seymour duncan humbucker as the solo pickup in the bridge position, and a speed loading flloyd rose trem,

This looks a brilliant, no non-sense guitar.

Steves Custom Strat

A great looking guitar in the classic strat style. Unless i'm very much mistaken, all parts sourced from Axerus. The Quilt topped Ash body matches beautifull to the flamed maple neck.

Steves Custom Tele

Another one of Steves made entirely from our parts (we think). A real Gem of a Tele, with gold hardware and no plate, letting the charms of the finish really stand out. A personal favourite around the office.

Geroges "Marlin MicroCrush"

A Marlin sidewinder fitted with the guts from an Orange Crush Micro Amp.

Looks like an absolutely brilliant way to practise without annoying the neighbours.

Georges Wolf Wire Strat

A Fender Mex Strat with the Wolf Wire Ultra Strat mod, giving ultimate switching positions and possibilities, and as a little added extra, George has added the Oil pressure and ignition lights from a rover P5B Coupe.

Must admit, we all had a chuckle at the attention to detail on that one.

Calvys' Custom Strat Build

Basically a lefty strat, but with some amazing detailing with the pickguard really bringing the build to life.

New Gallery!

Its long overdue, but finally, we've started work on the new gallery!

Unfortunately we've had to scrap the old photos from the previous incranation due to them being scaled too far down... but it does give us the oppertunity to start a fresh with a whole new selection.

We're coming to the end of the first site upgrade and the Gallery has been way down the pecking order - but thanks for your patience while we got round to it.

Want your guitar showing?

If you'd like your guitar posting in the gallery, please feel free to send us an email with a photo. We absolutely love seeing them.

We do ask that you follow a few simple guidelines though - just to make life a little easier.

1.

A full picture is preffered. (dont worry about cutting it out, we can do that) showing both the body and neck from the front.

2.

A higher resolution image is always better, Ideally bigger then 711x400 pixels so we dont lose too much detail. Might take a little longer to email, but its definately worth it by the end.

3.

If you could include a brief list of that parts, woods and interesting features you've used on the build, just so we can go into a little detail in the description (or, better yet - write a little description yourself! Im 100% sure it'll be better then anything we can write)

4.

If you've got the facilities, the time and the confidence - we'd love to hear some of the guitars we get photos of. After all, guitars look beautiful - but they sound better.

All the best
